The difference between microblading and nano needling
Microblading or brow embroidery involves using a small, sharp instrument of 10-16 fine needles configured into a blade shape to deposit pigment into the skin. Once the cuts / slices have been made, pigment is left on the skin for several minutes and soaked into the tiny incisions.
Nano needling or micropigmentation, uses a conventional needle device. Since the needle sits approximately 0.75mm outside the cartridge it is easier to apply the precise pressure to create the perfect crisp hair strokes. Thus, it tends to be a much cleaner process. The very tip of the needle is dipped into the pigment and the vibration pulls the pigment down into the cartridge. It is then dispensed gradually from the needle , in a puncturing method , into the skin, allowing for a controlled movement.
Nano needles are fascinating as they are the size of a hair and flexible. In essence they can be used to draw to replicate a real hair in the skin with minimum trauma. The can be sizes such as .35; .3; .25 and even .2 for fine wispy hairs.
Micro Blades give exactly the same result but the risk of injury to the skin is much higher. There are few true artists who can MB beautifully to achieve this really natural effect of hairstrokes.
Whether it’s genetics, age or other underlying conditions, when eyebrows grow sparse or begin to thin out, they can impact your appearance quite drastically. That’s why more people are starting to seek out treatments that can help. But with treatments like microblading gaining increasing popularity, people are beginning to discover the imprecise and blurred results that it can often produce. This can end up detracting from the natural-look that is crucial with permanent pigments.

Nano Needling vs Microblading
NOTE: all procedures include consultation and design
Both methods give the client "Hair Illusions"
Both methods use pigment(s) rather than ink.
Nano needling and microblading allow us to create the perfect brow taking into consideration desired shape, colour, thickness, and arch to create the perfec brow for YOU.
Both treatments allow us to custom create the colour that compliments your facial
features. Both methods allow the pigment to fade slowly over a period of time. Once treatments are complete, the implanted strokes appear fine and realistic in both procedures.
Nano needling strokes do over time have a greater rate of remaining crisp and clear.
There is no doubt that, currently, the fashion is for extremely life-like brows which both nano needing and microblading offer.
Choosing the correct procedure maybe discussed during your consultation.
Microblading is a manual procedure depending on the pressure used, the pigment can be implanted too deep.
If the pressure applied is not great enough, the hair strokes will fail to hold and require the possibility of up to three treatments to get the finished result.
Nano needling treatments are performed by a machine thus allowing pigment to be deposited more evenly into the skin.
Thus, reducing the need for additional treatment.
The nano needling technique is a much cleaner process than microblading.
As microblading is a manual treatment may
require more regular touch ups, maybe every
Procedures using nano needling last longer
and should only require a colour boost after
(Be sure to discuss with your artist ways to
prolong pigment life for both procedures)
Microblading is a less expensive way to create
the brows you've "dreamed of."
Over time nano needling results exceed those offered by microblading.
Many women suffer from "less than desirable" eyebrows, whether due to over-tweezing, waxing, or medical issues such as cancer or alopecia. In addition, many women can’t objectively draw on an appropriate eyebrow that will ultimately enhance their face and bone structure. If you currently use an eyebrow pencil, you will benefit from a permanent brow enhancement.
My aim is to recreate a brow with natural look that does not look artificial or harsh. To do this, the eyebrows are perfectly placed through a series of symmetrical measurements. A flattering brow shape is then created, with a wide array of hues and tones to suit your skin and hair colours. This includes: a powdered effect or 3 dimensional hair stroke technique, which mimics the actual hair.
Having a professionally crafted permanent brow will enhance your features. This will result in a youthful appearance and emphasis your eyes. This result has brought a life changing experience to those who have undergone the procedure.
